Self-repairing road could fix crater mess

The Times of India highlighted work by Nemkumar Banthia, a UBC civil engineering professor.

The village of Thondebhavi is the first in the country to have a self-repairing road.

Banthia worked to install a road that uses advanced materials and technology that makes it more resilient and longer-lasting. The special fibres used attract and retain moisture and help hydrate the road.
