Promising paper on novel treatment for asthma

UBC medicine professor Jeremy Hirota was mentioned in a Canadian Business Journal story on an immunotherapy approach to reduce airway immune dysfunction in a mouse model of asthma.

Hirota’s UBC lab worked on the study with the pharmaceutical company Qu Biologics. The study found that treatment using site specific immunomodulators resulted in decreased airway inflammation.
