Trees form special bonds with ‘friends and family’

Inhabitat featured a documentary co-produced by Suzanne Simard, a UBC forest ecologist that explores the special bonds used by trees for communication.

Simard and German forester Peter Wohlleben created Intelligent Trees, which explores the network of roots and fungal threads under the forest floor.

They say this network allows trees to communicate and bond with one another in groups of family and friends.
