UBC researcher creates device to reduce car emissions

A UBC researcher has developed a valve that could help reduce vehicle emissions and improve fuel economy, reports 24 Hours Vancouver.

“People have known that having a device like that would create more efficient engines for many, many years … but it is a technological challenge to actually make these valves,” said Rudolf Seethaler, a professor of mechanical engineering.
