Four lessons learned from a summer on the Street

UBC MBA student Aubrey Chapnick extolled the value of summer internships in an article for the Globe and Mail. Drawing from his experiences as an intern in investment banking and equity research, Chapnick highlighted the importance of delivering quality work, questioning assumptions, looking at the big picture and hitting the ground running.

“Preparation is vital, but pairing a genuine thirst for knowledge, along with adopting what Stanford professor Carol Dweck describes as a growth mindset, will do a lot to bridge the gaps between what you know, what you don’t know and what you don’t know you don’t know,” Chapnick wrote.
