The Globe and Mail reported on a lawsuit filed by the federal government against UBC and a former UBC faculty member over alleged misuse of millions of dollars in funds allocated for a dental pilot project in Haida Gwaii.
According to the article, UBC said the faculty member inappropriately enriched himself during the period in which he was involved in the project, but the enrichment was to UBC’s loss, not Health Canada’s.
