Brexit: The sky won’t fall, but the British pound has

The U.K. voted to leave the European Union, according to British Press, though the change will not directly impact Canada.

BC Business interviewed James Brander, an economist at UBC’s Sauder School of Business, on the topic.

“There will be almost no direct effect on Canada,” he said. “Very little would happen. There’s no reason why the existing trade agreements and trade structure with the European community needs to change at all.”
