A Huffington Post on Internet trolls mentioned two recent studies by researchers from the University of Manitoba and UBC.
The researchers found that trolls aren’t interested in meaningful discussion and they tend to be the equivalent of bullies. They also discovered that if the trolls’ victims react with emotion, trolls will simply intensify their comments for their own amusement.
