Photo/Assignment editors: The tour will showcase unique lab space designed to protect the sensitive equipment used in quantum matter research. It will also feature the equipment used to examine individual atoms in quantum materials.
The Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, will announce UBC’s newest CERC in Quantum Materials and Devices Based on Oxide Heterostructures. The CERC program attracts some of the most talented and innovative researchers from around the world, and helps to further Canada’s growing reputation as a leader in research, higher learning, and science and technology development.
