Vancouver architects and developers support new Master of Urban Design Program

The School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA) at UBC has received support for its new Master of Urban Design Program (MUD) from Vancouver’s architecture and urban development communities.

Architectural firms Bing Thom Architects, James K.M. Cheng Architects, Kasian Architecture Interior Design & Planning, Rositch Hemphill Architects and real estate developer, Concert Properties Ltd. have established five entrance scholarships for the new MUD program.

James Cheng, Kasian, PFS Studio and ZGF Cotter Architects have also agreed to offer conditional paid three-month internships to MUD graduates. Several of the companies will contribute some of their senior professionals to the MUD Affiliates, a group of award-winning academics and practitioners in urban design. The Affiliates will teach courses, present lectures, attend design reviews, lead tours and offer professional mentorship. Click here for more info.
