UBC Board of Governors chair John Montalbano will announce the University’s new president and vice chancellor. Joining him at the event will be current president and vice chancellor Prof. Stephen Toope, and student board member Chris Roach.
Following the announcement, the president and vice chancellor designate will be available for further interviews.
Prof. Stephen Toope leaves UBC on June 30, 2014 to lead the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs. He was named UBC’s 12th president on March 22, 2006.
The 13th president and vice chancellor’s term will start on July 1, 2014.
