Timothy Taylor didn’t study creative writing. He studied economics before getting an MBA from Queens. But after 20 years of extensive publication in literary fiction and journalism, he found the opportunity to be on the UBC’s Creative Writing team especially intriguing. “I’m interested in the applications of narrative in literary contexts but also across other disciplines and pursuits,” he says. “UBC Creative Writing is perfectly positioned to provide that kind of instruction and mentorship, and I’m thrilled to contribute to that effort.” Nancy Lee says, “I’ve been fortunate enough to published all over Europe and to have taught in the UK and France, and still, UBC Creative Writing is the place I think of as home. It’s an honour to be teaching in the program that’s given me some of the best creative experiences of my life.” Learn more at creativewriting.ubc.ca.
